Description
The Green Theater in Riviera Park is one of the most famous outdoor concert venues in Sochi, where vibrant cultural events have been taking place for more than sixty years. Built in 1959, the theater is located in a picturesque part of the park among tropical vegetation and next to a large rose garden. This location creates a special atmosphere, allowing spectators to combine attending a concert with a walk through one of the most popular parks in the city.
Over the years of its existence, many famous Russian performers and musical groups have performed on the stage of the Green Theater, including Boris Grebenshchikov, Vyacheslav Butusov, Valery Kipelov and other artists. Today, the venue continues to host concerts, theatrical performances, festivals, creative evenings and large-scale shows, remaining an important part of the cultural life of Sochi.
After reconstruction carried out in 2024–2025, the theater received modern technical capabilities for holding events of various formats. The auditorium provides theatrical seating for 1,500 seats, and if necessary, the space can easily be transformed into a dance floor for approximately 2,500 guests. Thanks to this, the venue is suitable for both chamber performances and large concert programs.
